Meet Your Police Department on Oct. 2 and Oct. 16

Save the date for two Meet Your Police Department events from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the Regional Police Academy, 6885 NE Pleasant Valley Rd., and Oct. 16 at the new Metro Patrol Division station, 7601 Prospect Ave. The events will feature several police static displays, including a helicopter, K-9s, show cars, traffic unit roll-over display cars, and more. Food also will be provided.

KCPD cracks down on impaired driving Aug. 20 - Sept. 6

Kansas City Police are joining law enforcement across the country for a crack down on impaired driving Aug. 20 through Sept. 6. Police will be conducting additional sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols (wolf packs) and taking other inititiatives to reduce deaths and serious injuries caused by impaired drivers.
