Alyea left home on January 30, 1992 at approx. 08.30 with a large amount of cash. He told a neighbor he was going to Lamar, MO. to meet someone around 13.30, but should be home by 18.30.

He has a severe heart condition that requires medication on a daily basis. Alyea left his medication and personal property at his residence. He did not return and has not been seen since.

His vehicle was located in the parking lot of a motel in Fayetteville, Arkansas on November 1, 1992. Officials said the vehicle had been abandoned at least 1 month. Prior to his disappearance, Alyea was very close to his family and stayed in regular contact with them. He was depressed over his medical condition. He could have been going to Siloam Springs Arkansas. Foul play is suspected.

Loy Evitts vanished during her lunch hour February 28, 1977. She drove her car from its customary spot in the garage, had a watch adjusted, then drove to a drugstore, where she had coffee and bought an umbrella. The car was back in its space later that afternoon, but Evitts was never seen again. 

She was a legal secretary at a law firm. Her purse was found 10 days later, under a bridge in southeast KC near Unity Village. 

Evitts, a former KSU queen nominee, was happily married in Overland Park and had no romantic or financial entanglement. The couple had no children. Evitts' husband moved to have her declared legally dead seven years later.

Ms. Rinehart drove a 1972 Chevrolet ½ ton pickup truck, (VIN: CCE142J124632 Missouri 1980 License EX6-401). The vehicle was olive green with a yellow hood and right front fender.

At the time of her disappearance, Rinehart had a pending court case against her husband. At one point, her husband had held a gun to her head, and Rinehart was extremely afraid of him.

Rinehart was known to communicate with truckers via CB Radio, using the call name "Wild Woman ".
