Pursue the American dream of homeownership!
Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, the City of Kansas City, Mo. will begin accepting applications from first time homebuyers for the KC Dream Home Program. The program offers down payment and closing assistance to qualified buyers purchasing homes in the city limits of Kansas City, Mo.

The Kansas City Dream Home Program:
Household income guidelines

Maximum income by family size

  • 1 person, $38,300
  • 2 people, $43,800
  • 3 people, $49,250
  • 4 people, $54,700
  • 5 people, $59,100
  • 6 people, $63,500

  • Provides a forgivable loan of up to 20 percent of the sales price of a home; maximum loan of $20,000
  • No payments required on forgivable loan - 10 percent forgiven each year for 10 years
  • Be a first time buyer or equivalent
  • Homes must sell for less than $150,000
  • Homes must be within the city limits of Kansas City, Mo.
  • Household must meet income guidelines
