Women are the fabric that holds communities together, and this award is created to honor them. Their work is never-ending and of utmost importance.

“First Ladies of Kansas City” is an award that will be given each month to a Kansas City woman who has made outstanding contributions to the community and to her family. The person nominated for this resolution should be a woman who has consistently served the needs of others, while frequently going unnoticed herself. This resolution is to honor the women of our community who have given to many, but who have been served by few.

Recipients will be invited to City Hall to receive a special resolution in their honor.
