The City
provides a vast array of services to its citizens. These services are
funded by property, sales, earnings, profits and utility taxes; enterprise
charges; grants and other revenue sources. The services provided by the
City are categorized into six major programmatic groups: economic vitality;
environmental and structural preservation; public safety and protection;
beautification and recreation; policy management; and health and neighborhood
services. More than 75 percent of the Citys expenditures occur in
the first three groups.
