The IT Marketing Intern will help plan, direct, and coordinate marketing and publicity activities concerning the
city web site, intranet and other technologies. The intern will ensure that project goals are accomplished and
in line with business objectives. The IT Marketing Intern develops strategies for various market segments that
address customer business. The intern is part of one or more teams that develop and carry out internal and external
marketing projects.

- Develop marketing strategies and solutions for various market segments
- Help develop funding sources for marketing and public relations projects
- Provide support in planning, directing, and coordinating marketing campaigns
- Design, develop, and deploy marketing campaigns
- Research and recommend products and services
- Analyze results of marketing and publicity campaigns
Preferred Skills and
Knowledge
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including ability
to present to senior management. Training in marketing, public relations or newswriting a plus
- Desktop publishing software (PageMaker preferred)
- MS Office
- Familiarity with Internet use, concepts, navigation and research
- Digital photography skills
- Negotiation and conflict management skills

Internal:
