    Developed by the Kansas City, Mo. Health Department, the campaign is an innovative approach to community outreach and public health education designed to strengthen the City’s awareness of Pandemic Influenza Preparedness.


    About Learn to Live

    What is it?
    The Pandemic Preparedness: Learn to Live Campaign was created in response to the community’s growing need for clear and consistent information about pandemic influenza.

    Who does it help?
    The campaign serves area businesses, corporations, schools and other community-based groups of Kansas City, Missouri by providing them with the education and materials they need to help prepare themselves and protect their family during a pandemic.

    How does it work?
    Through the Pandemic Preparedness: Learn to Live Campaign, indivduals, families, business and groups are given the opportunity to learn more about planning for pandemic influenza:

    • Know the difference between seasonal flu and pandemic flu (influenza)
    • Identify potential symptoms, trends and impacts of a pandemic
    • How to help prepare your business, your employees and your customers for a pandemic

    The Pandemic Preparedness: Learn to Live Campaign presently offers the following services to the public:

    Educational Presentations for Businesses and Corporations:

      • Symptoms, Trends and Potential Impacts of Pandemic Influenza
      • Integrating Pandemic Preparedness Into Business Continuity Plans
      • Developing Your Company’s Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Plan
