2000 employment in district by industry
The majority of 5th District
residents work in the service sector at a higher rate than the city as a whole.
This could be attributed to the health facilities such as Swope Parkway Health
Center and Health Midwest. The 5th District also has the lowest percentage of
retail workers of all the districts.
