The 4th District has parts that are up to 150 years old. Today, it remains one of the strongest parts of the city in terms of quality of life, contribution to culture and entertainment, and economic development. The 4th District can claim as its own many of the people whose names are closely associated with the city's history, present and future, including Dr. David Waldo, John Wornall, William Rockhill Nelson and J.C. Nichols.
