On Nov. 17, 2006, the Capital Improvements
Management Office reissued the Prequalification Program for Design
Professional Services
under $107,000. This latest launch is different than previous years as
SOQ's will be accepted on an on-going basis.
This program was first
passed by Ordinance
2-1584 (d) by the City Council on Feb. 26, 2004.
This program
streamlines the process of awarding contracts for professional
services, including architectural and engineering services and allows
the City to award design
services contracts estimated to cost less than $107,000 from
a list of pre-qualified firms. This eliminates an extended
bidding process for small projects and was
recommended by CIMO as one way to launch small projects
quickly.
