How Is The Money Distributed?
According
to Percent for Art Research, for each
Percent for Art project money expended:

6.5-7.35 percent is returned
in sales tax

42-43 percent goes to
the direct purchase of materials

9-10 percent is spent
on overhead (studio, utilities, equipment, etc.)

30-37 percent goes to pay salaries and
wages of subcontractors for
fabrication/installation work. Artists are encouraged to contract with
local
companies for fabrication, production and installation of artwork.

10-15% goes to pay the
artist’s fee
