The Convention Centers four lobbies provide a total of more than 74,500
square feet of versatile registration and pre-function space
for large events.
From the lobbies, multiple banks of escalators (flow optional),
passenger and freight elevators, and walkways provide easy access
to all levels of the facility.
Each lobby also provides a separate entry for smaller events that
are using adjacent facilities. Lobby 100
services the 1200-Series meeting rooms and Exhibit Hall A; Lobby
200 services the 2200-Series meeting rooms and Exhibit Halls
B and C; Lobby 300 services Exhibit Halls D and E; and Lobby 500
services Exhibit Hall E.
Accessible from the west side of Central Street, the 23,000-square-foot
Lobby 300 is connected to both the Convention Center meeting rooms and
the Conference Center meeting rooms by walkways. Lobby 500 offers
an additional 14,500 square feet of versatile space.
The distinctive light fixtures and hanging sculptures that adorn
the Kansas City Convention Center's lobbies were commissioned under Kansas City's One-Percent-For-Art
program. |
