Downtown Cleanup
Friday, October 10, 2003
11:30 AM until 1:30 PM

Keep Kansas City Beautiful is sponsoring the Downtown Cleanup in conjunction with the offices of Mayor Kay Barnes and Jackson County Executive Katheryn Shields, the Downtown Community Improvement District and the Hotel and Motel Association to partner with businesses in working together to create a cleaner and more beautiful downtown Kansas City!

Business, government, community employers large and small, along with individuals are invited to participate in this effort. We encourage you to form volunteer teams to participate during lunchtime! Teams will adopt a block, an alley, or an entire street. This event, in its third year of success, raises awareness about litter prevention and beautification with the goal of sustaining a safer and healthier Kansas City.

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, bags and other resources to assist with the cleanup. Designated areas will be assigned to groups willing to volunteer during the cleanup, and volunteers will be recognized for their efforts! Please contact us to sign up for this very exciting day in Kansas City!

For more information, call Andrea Babbit at Keep Kansas City Beautiful - (816) 561-1061 x 102 or email andrea@bridgingthegap.org.
