Flu shots unavailable until further notice

Due to delays in vaccine distribution, the City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department is suspending flu shot services until further notice.

"The Health Department ordered more vaccine this year than in years past, but we were recently notified by the State of Missouri and our distributor that there is a delay in vaccine distribution," said Lisa Hubbert, acting manager of the Communicable Disease Prevention and Public Health Preparedness Division. "As soon as the distributor and the State of Missouri notify the City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department when we will get vaccine, we will resume flu shot services."
