Health Department rolls out three Web site improvements
New complaint forms available online
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department has added three new complaint forms to its Web site to improve the services it provides to residents and visitors. The public may now file complaints online about excessive noise issues, unusual odors or the presence of rats by visiting www.kcmo.org/health and clicking on the "Online forms" drop-down menu or the "How to file a complaint" link.
The complaint forms for food and restaurant safety, and for smoking ordinance violations have been available online since 2005, but have been updated and improved. A Web site satisfaction survey also is available. All survey submissions get a complete review and are considered for possible improvements to the Health Department's Web site.
"We are continually searching for ways to make it easier for the community to communicate their concerns to us and improve the services we provide," said Dr. Rex Archer, director of the Health Department. "Enabling the community to lodge complaints online is just one more tool for all of us to take advantage of."
