‘Back to School’ immunization clinic Aug. 18

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department will hold a special “Back to School” immunization clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 18 at the Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave. Immunization shots will be free to children who have no insurance, who have limited insurance that doesn’t cover immunizations or who are Medicaid eligible.

Children at the clinic will have the opportunity to enjoy:

· The DARE car

· McGruff the crime dog

· Frosty treats

Car seat safety and pet safety information will be available. The American Red Cross will also participate in the event.

There are no appointments; participants should plan to arrive early.
