Public meeting May 7 for Northeast improvement project
Residents are invited to a public meeting to review plans for the improvement project planned for the intersection at St. John Avenue and Benton Boulevard. This intersection is located in the historic Northeast Neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo. The meeting will be held May 7 at 7 p.m. at the Melrose United Methodist Church, 200 N. Bales Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
The St. John Avenue and Benton Boulevard improvement project is designed to improve intersection traffic flow and area aesthetics. Construction is scheduled to start in early August in order to complete the first two phases of work before the Northeast Fall Festival in early September. The project is scheduled to be totally complete by spring 2008. The City of Kansas City, Mo., Capital Improvements Management Office is managing this project and Brian Clark + Associates is the contracted design firm.
