Portion of 12th Street closing

The intersection of 12th and Main streets will be closed from Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. until Monday, April 24 at 5 a.m.

In addition, 12th Street between Main Street and Walnut Street will be closed nights and weekends starting Monday, April 24 and ending Monday, May 8. This closure will be in effect Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m., and from Friday at 7 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

These closures are necessary for telecommunication conduit, water main and storm sewer construction for the Power & Light District.

During construction, drivers headed east on 12th Street should take Baltimore Avenue north to 10th Street, go east on 10th Street to Grand Avenue, then go south on Grand Avenue to 12th Street. Those headed south on Main Street wishing to access 12th Street should detour east at 10th Street, then head south on Grand Avenue to 12th Street.
