Trash collection delayed one day, City offices closed Dec. 26 Thursday, December 8, 2011
In observance of the Christmas holiday, City of Kansas City, Mo., offices and the 311 Call Center will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 and curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day. Residents who usually have Monday collection will receive the service on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Residents who usually have Friday collection will receive it on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Animal shelter holds holiday adoption special Thursday, December 8, 2011

City Council Chambers goes paperless Dec. 14 Wednesday, December 7, 2011
The City of Kansas City, Mo., City Council Chambers will begin using a new technology system on Wednesday, Dec. 14 that will enable City Council meetings to go entirely paperless. To prepare, staff will train the City Council to operate the new equipment and technology on Monday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located on the 26th floor of City Hall, 414 E. 12th St.

New program helps immigrants and refugees navigate City’s court system Wednesday, November 16, 2011
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Municipal Court and City Prosecutor’s Office have partnered with Jewish Vocational Service to launch the Refugee-Immigrant Social Integration Program.
