KCI Airport passenger traffic up 2.5 percent in May Wednesday, June 23, 2010
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Aviation Department reports that Kansas City International Airport recorded 889,071 passengers arriving and departing through its gates in May, which represents an increase of 2.5 percent from May 2009.

Councilwoman Marcason sponsors effort of Checker Cab to “Go Pink” for Breast Cancer Awareness Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Checker Cab, long known for its distinctive green taxis, will be wrapping at least one of their vehicles in pink to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Breast Cancer. Company President, Sheri Watson, plans to wrap one of their vehicles in pink year round. A portion of each fare from this vehicle will be donated this October during breast cancer awareness month.
