City partners with Kansas City Royals for fourth annual PLAY Clinic Thursday, June 2, 2011
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Office of Civic and Community Engagement has partnered with the Kansas City Royals to offer a free baseball PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) Clinic to Kansas City area youth, ages 11-16. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the field at Kauffman Stadium.

Heavier than usual traffic expected Tuesday Friday, May 27, 2011
The City of Kansas City, Mo., is alerting motorists who commute to the Central Business District to expect heavier than usual traffic on Tuesday, May 31. The “Get Motivated” event scheduled for the Sprint Center will bring an additional 17,000 people into the Central Business District on Tuesday. To facilitate this number of people, Grand Boulevard, in the vicinity of the Sprint Center, will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for vehicular traffic.

Residents advised about wastewater overflow into the Blue River Watershed Tuesday, May 24, 2011
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reports a wastewater overflow due to a grease blockage. A manhole located at the rear of 10417 E. 42nd St. was reported overflowing at 12:15 p.m. on May 24, 2011. It was overflowing approximately 10 gallons per minute.

Municipal Court announces expanded docket for Housing Court Friday, May 20, 2011
The 16th Circuit Court of Missouri – Kansas City Municipal Division (Municipal Court) has announced that the Housing Court will expand in early June 2011. The Housing Court’s docket will extend to four days per week, Monday through Thursday, at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom C. Previously, the Housing Court has been conducted only on Friday afternoons.
