Household Hazardous Waste Facility announces holiday, annual maintenance closures
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed through Wednesday, Jan. 4 in observance of the holidays and for annual facility maintenance. The facility will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9 a.m.
Residents are reminded that the facility is regularly open for drop-off of household hazardous waste on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments are not needed. The facility’s Swap Shop is open on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Household Hazardous Waste Facility is located at the Environmental Campus, 4707 Deramus Ave.

The Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department maintains and operates water collection, processing and distribution systems, storm water management and control systems, and waste water collection and processing systems for residential and business customers in Kansas City and for wholesale customers in the Kansas City region. Operation is funded entirely by fees charged to customers based on their use of products and services, not by taxes.
