Water Services to perform water valve test in Waldo, area west of Waldo
Water service will be off 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. to customers in the area
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department will perform a water valve test tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the area of Gregory to 79th streets and State Line to Wornall roads in preparation to replace a water valve at 75th and Wyoming streets.
Residents and businesses in the test area will be without water service beginning at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. It is anticipated that water service will be restored between midnight and 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.Notices have been left for businesses advising them of the temporary loss of service. Due to the short length of the test, notices will not be left at individual residences.
Following a successful valve test, the valve will be replaced between the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 26 and the morning of Thursday, Oct. 27. Initial work on this valve began on Sunday, Oct 23.
