Special Committee on Small Business to host meeting at Cascone’s Italian Restaurant on Oct. 24
The City of Kansas City, Mo., encourages area businesses to attend and provide input at the Special Committee on Small Business’s next evening meeting on Monday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. While regular committee meetings are held at City Hall, this meeting will be held offsite at Cascone’s Italian Restaurant, a small Kansas City business located at 3737 N. Oak Trafficway in the Northland.
“The off-site meetings held by the Special Committee have yielded valuable insight from small businesses,” said Committee Chair and Councilman Scott Taylor. “We look forward to hearing from small businesses in the Northland as they express their concerns and suggest how we might improve.”
““The explosive growth of the Northland over the last several years has not only brought greater populations, but also a greater need for small businesses to provide services to them,” said Councilman Scott Wagner.“I hope that area businesses will take the opportunity to inform us as to how well the City is helping them grow and thrive in this part of our community.”
The Special Committee on Small Business aims to improve City services related to doing business in Kansas City, Mo. While the committee generally meets on Thursdays at noon, they are holding this evening meeting at Cascone’s to allow businesses that would normally be unable to attend at noon the opportunity to come and share ideas.
In addition, a website, www.kcmomentum.com, is currently available to allow comments from individuals or businesses that may not be available to testify during a meeting.
The committee includes Councilman Scott Taylor, Councilman Scott Wagner, Councilman Jermaine Reed and Councilwoman Cindy Circo.
