Parking changes downtown on Oak Street

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department is advising motorists of recent changes on Oak Street in the downtown area between 12th and 13th streets, which affect parking options and the location of authorized emergency vehicles.

The disabled parking spaces on the east side of Oak Street between 12th Street and 13th Street have been relocated to 12th Street, between Oak Street and Locust Street.

The no-parking zone on Oak Street, between 12th Street and 13th Street, established for authorized emergency vehicles has been relocated to the west side of Oak Street.

The City has removed all parking spaces on the east side of Oak Street. This change will improve northbound traffic flow.

Media inquiries about this street change should be directed to Dennis Gagnon, City Communications, at 816-513-2659.
