Residents invited to share input at PIAC citywide hearings
The City of Kansas City, Mo., encourages residents to provide input on potential City public improvements at the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) citywide hearings this month. The PIAC will use information gathered through the hearings to recommend projects for funding to the City Council for Fiscal Year 2012-13. Project funding comes from the one-cent sales tax for public improvements.
The hearings will take place:
Friday, Aug. 19, 9 a.m. to noon
City Hall, Committee Room
414 E. 12th St., 10th Floor
Tuesday, Aug. 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The Gem Theatre
1616 E. 18th St.
Wednesday, Aug. 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Hillcrest Community Center
10401 Hillcrest Road
Thursday, Aug. 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
101 NW 99th St.
Residents can also tell the PIAC about needed public improvements by completing a project request form. These forms will be available at the hearings or are available from the Capital Improvements Program at City Hall, 18th Floor, 414 E. 12th St. Residents can also fill out a form online at www.kcmo.org/cpd.
The deadline to submit a request form is Wednesday, Aug. 31.
