HUD hosts additional workshops on new Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has added additional informational workshops regarding its new Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program. The additional workshops will take place Monday, July 18, 2-5 p.m. and Tuesday, July 19, 2-5 p.m. at the Robert J. Mohart Center, 3200 Wayne Ave. Free parking will be available off 33rd Street and Flora Avenue.
The Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program (EHLP) launched on Tuesday, July 12 and is designed help homeowners who have experienced a reduction in income or are at risk of foreclosure due to involuntary unemployment or underemployment due to economic conditions or a medical condition.
To participate in the program, residents are required to submit pre-applications by July 22. EHLP applications are available both at the Robert J. Mohart Center’s business office and online at www.findEHLP.org. Interested applicants may submit a pre-application at the informational workshops as well.
