KCNAC seeks candidates to fill board positions
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhood Advisory Council (KCNAC) is seeking candidates interested in representing the community to fill two board member positions for the KCNAC’s 2011 term. The board has one at-large and one northwest region position available at this time.
The KCNAC is a six-region advisory board that serves as a liaison between Kansas City’s diverse neighborhoods and the governing bodies of the City, including the director of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. The board meets monthly with the City’s governing bodies to discuss the development and implementation of government policies affecting their community.
“The KCNAC brings the neighborhood perspective to discussions involving City services,” said David Park, director of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. “They influence budget appropriations and City ordinances that affect City services.”
