City suspends taxicab driver for three days
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and Abebe Akalu, a taxicab driver, have agreed to a three-day suspension of Akalu’s taxicab drivers’ certificate.
The suspension will begin on Monday, April 11 and end Thursday, April 14. The suspension is the result of Akalu’s attempt to solicit business illegally at the Kansas City International Airport. During the suspension, Akalu will not be allowed to operate a taxicab in the City of Kansas City, Mo.
