Mayor to discuss City’s snow and ice removal at press conference
WHAT: City officials are holding this press conference to update the public about City’s current snow and ice removal effort.
WHO: Attendees and presenters will include:
• Mayor Mark Funkhouser
• Acting City Manager Troy Schulte
• Director of Public Works Stan Harris
• Public Works Engineering staff
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 25, 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: City’s salt dome located behind the Municipal Service Center at 5310 Municipal Avenue.
WHY: The City has experienced yet another winter storm, which has left between three to seven inches of snow and icy conditions on the streets. The City would like to assure residents that appropriate measures are being taken in response to the storm.
The City’s snow removal program strives to clear 2,400 lane miles of primary and arterial streets and 2,000 center lane miles of residential streets in a timely manner.
