Southbound lanes of Highway 169 reopened Thursday, September 23, 2010
The water line has been repaired and pavement restored allowing the southbound lanes of Highway 169 to be reopened at 5 am his morning. A combination of Water Services Pipeline crews and its restoration contractor, J.M. Fahey Construction Company worked nearly continuously to make the repairs ahead of schedule.

Highway 169 southbound has been closed between 9 Highway and the Broadway Bridge. A water main break damaged the highway requiring the southbound lanes to be closed for repairs. It is estimated that the repairs to the main and the street will be completed by Friday.

Storm debris cleanup will affect regular service pickups Sunday, September 19, 2010
After an additional assessment of where the greatest concentration of damage occurred in the severe overnight storms that struck the City of Kansas City, Mo. special curbside pickup efforts in the City's Northland have now changed. The concentration will be bounded by 60th Street to the north, Parvin Road to the south, I-435 to the east, and Antioch Road to the west. The curbside cleanup effort will be similar to the cleanup effort that was required early this summer, when a localized storm struck the City's Southland.

City departments continue responding to storm debris Sunday, September 19, 2010
After an initial assessment of where the greatest concentration of damage occurred in the severe overnight storms that struck the City of Kansas City, Mo., crews have concentrated storm cleanup efforts on an area in the Northland that lies north of Parvin Road, south of 56th Street, east of Antioch Road and west of I-435. In this area, City supervisors have dispatched heavy equipment as needed to remove extensive woody debris from downed trees and limbs that are obstructing streets and the public rights-of-ways.

Storm damage being assessed, debris collection underway Sunday, September 19, 2010
In response to a severe overnight storm that moved through the greater Kansas City area and left extensive woody debris in parts of the City's Northland, the City of Kansas City, Missouri has sent cleanup crews from multiple City departments into an area bounded by N. Holmes Avenue, Parvin Road, I-435, and N.E. 72nd Street. These crews are working to remove woody debris from the public rights of ways.
