Suspicious device rendered safe, Wolf Parking Garage opens
The City of Kansas City, Mo. is advising City employees and residents that police have re-opened the George E. Wolf Parking Garage, Oak and 11th streets, after a suspicious device attached to a vehicle was rendered safe by police.
During the closure, police closed parking levels six through nine beginning at 2:30 p.m. Those parked on the fifth floor or lower were able to leave, but no new cars could enter.
Reports from the police indicate that the suspicious device was likely a GPS tracking device that had been attached to the vehicle without the driver’s consent.
Media requests about this incident should be directed toward the Kansas City Police Media Unit at 816-234-5170.
