Parking and Transportation Sub-committees to meet

The City of Kansas City, Mo., is sending a reminder that four sub-committees of the Kansas City, Missouri Parking and Transportation Commission will meet on Tuesday, July 13. Times and locations are as follows:

Special Topics Sub-Committee, Chaired by Councilwoman Beth Gottstein, July 13, 2010, 10- 11:30 a.m., 8th Floor, City Council Dining Room, City Hall. Discussion includes transit-oriented development (East Village, Convention Hotel, Performing Arts Center), Finance/Governance, TDD issues, Development Code/incentives effects on parking and transit, GSA/East Village, Accessibility/ADA issues, Residential population and transit, Greater Downtown Area Plan implementation.

Traffic and Transit Subcommittee, Chaired by Councilman Russ Johnson, July 13, 2010, 2- 3:30 p.m., 8th Floor, City Council Dining Room, City Hall. Discussion includes Walkability, Bike, Autos, Traffic, Bus, Fixed Rail, Traffic Signals, MoDOT projects

Streetscape Subcommittee, Chaired by Daniel Serda, July 15, 2010, 9-10:30 a.m., 1018 Baltimore, Kansas City Design Center. Discussion includes streetscape, streetlights, signage, landscaping, corridor presentation, green solutions, stormwater control and detention.

Parking and Wayfinding Subcommittee, Chaired by Councilman Terry Riley, July 16, 2010, 1- 2:30 p.m., 22nd Floor Conference Room, City Hall. Discussion includes parking (on-street, off-street, policies), Vehicular wayfinding, Pedestrian wayfinding, parking revenue analysis, permitting fees and process, traffic/parking enforcement policy, residential parking
