City suspends liquor license of Crescent Hotel for 30 days
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and the managing officer of Crescent Hotel have agreed to a 30-day suspension of the hotel’s liquor license. Crescent Hotel is located at 5701 Longview Road.
The suspension is from Feb. 8 at 6 a.m. to March 10 at 3 a.m. The suspension is the result of a homicide occurring on the premises. Crescent Hotel also was recently placed on a six-month probationary period due to numerous calls to police for service, acts of violence, prostitution and drug sales that have occurred on the premises. Along with serving the suspension, Crescent Hotel will be required to obtain the consent from a majority of all eligible neighboring property owners to retain their liquor license. During the suspension, the business will remain open but alcoholic beverages will not be sold.
As a condition of the suspension, the managing officer of Crescent Hotel has agreed to provide education, training and instruction to their employees about City ordinances.
