City hosts Black History Month celebration at the GEM Theater Tuesday, February 17, 2009
The City of Kansas City, Mo., is sponsoring an event Feb. 26 at the GEM Theater, 1615 E. 18th St., in commemoration of Black History Month. The celebration is from 6:30-8 p.m. and is hosted by Shawn Edwards, media specialist for Phillips West Public Relations and movie critic at Fox 4 news. The celebration will be preceded by a social hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with light refreshments.
