Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group to meet Feb. 9
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group will conduct its next meeting Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Regulated Industries Division office at Century Towers, 635 Woodland Ave.
At this meeting, the advisory group will discuss adding a full sales-by-drink specialty license, a malt liquor and light wine sales-by-drink specialty license, and will further discuss the necessary requirements that apply to the sale and possession of alcoholic beverages and minors.
The Alcoholic Beverage Advisory Group consists of 12 members from the community and the manager of the Regulated Industries Division. The purpose of the group is to review City ordinances from Chapter 10 on a routine basis and make recommendations that it deems necessary. The recommendations are made with regard to public safety and take into consideration new standards and advances within the liquor industry as they may apply to the current liquor laws. The manager of Regulated Industries Division shares the group's recommendations with the City Council for further review and consideration.
