City schedules H1N1 vaccination clinics for Dec. 10 and 12
Priority group restrictions lifted in Kansas City, Mo.
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department has scheduled H1N1 flu vaccination clinics for Thursday, Dec. 10, from 2-6:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Methodist Church, 9420 James A. Reed Road; and Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave.
“To date we have focused on providing vaccinations to those who are at highest risk for serious complications of H1N1,” said Dr. Rex Archer, director of the Health Department. “We now have enough vaccine available that anyone who would like to protect themselves or those around them from H1N1 can be vaccinated.”
The H1N1 vaccine is free of charge. As the priority group restrictions have been relaxed in Missouri to meet local need, the Kansas City, Mo., clinics will be open to all ages 6 months old and up.
For more information about the clinics, call the Health Department, (816) 513-6008.
