Event allows residents to review/comment on City’s disaster plans

City of Kansas City, Mo., staff members will be available from 6:30-8 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the National WWI Museum at Liberty Memorial, 100 W. 26th St., to discuss the City’s emergency readiness plans for hazards such as tornadoes and floods that leave permanent marks on people and communities. The event is coordinated by the Mid-America Regional Council.

At the event, residents will have the opportunity to review actions their community is taking to lessen the impact of natural hazards. Attendees also will be able to provide feedback on actions they think their government should — or shouldn't — be taking.

For more information, or to register for the event, visit, or contact Stephanie Williams with the Mid-America Regional Council at (816) 701-8310.
