Street closures announced for American Royal Parade
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department is alerting motorists that many streets in the City’s Downtown, Crossroads and Crown Center areas will be temporarily closed on Saturday, Sept. 26, to accommodate the American Royal Parade. Streets used for the parade and staging areas will be closed to traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vehicles parked on closed streets during this time are subject to being towed.
The closures for the parade route include:
- Grand Boulevard, from Pershing Road to 14th Street
- 14th Street, from Grand Boulevard to Main Street
Closures related to parade staging areas include:
- The north lanes of Pershing Road, from Grand Boulevard to Kessler Road
- Main Street, from 20th to 27th streets
Pershing Road access to the Crown Center complex will be limited to the two lanes south of the median on Pershing Road.
