Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group to meet Aug. 3
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group will conduct its next meeting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 3 at the Regulated Industries Division office at Century Towers, 635 Woodland Ave., suite 2101.
At this meeting, the advisory group will discuss extended hours licenses, temporary closing of premises, a probationary period, the definition of school and festival district temporary permits.
The Alcoholic Beverage Advisory Group consists of 12 members from the community and the manager of the Regulated Industries Division. The purpose of the group is to review City ordinances from Chapter 10 on a routine basis and review recommendations accordingly. The recommendations are made with regard to public safety and take into consideration new standards and advances within the liquor industry as they may apply to the current liquor laws. The manager of Regulated Industries Division shares the group's recommendations with the City Council for further review and consideration.
