The City of Kansas City, Mo., Capital Improvements Management Office, a division of the City Manager’s Office, announces that construction will resume this week on the north side of 12th Street from Oak to Locust streets. Construction is expected to last about a month.

Trash pick-up delayed, City offices closed May 26 Tuesday, May 20, 2008
In observance of Memorial Day, trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day and City of Kansas City, Mo., offices will be closed. The 3-1-1 Action Center, a division of the City Manager's Office, also will be closed for the holiday.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division and the management of Main Street Shell have agreed to a voluntary, one-day suspension of the establishment's liquor license. Main Street Shell is located at 3742 Main St.

City to increase enforcement of bulky collection pick-up rules Wednesday, May 14, 2008
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department is notifying residents that in the interest of improving service for all residents, it has increased the enforcement of rules associated with the Bulky Item Collection Program. Residents placing non-bulky items at the curb will receive notification that their items do not qualify for collection. Non-bulky items will be left at the curb. If non-bulky items are placed in a pile with bulky items, all items are likely to be left at the curb. Crews will not separate the material for collection.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department is opening the leaf and brush drop-off site at 1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway (just south of the Missouri River) on Sunday, May 11 to assist residents affected by last week’s severe weather. The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
