License revocation hearing to be Dec. 16 for Barcelona Banquet Hall
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division will conduct a hearing Dec. 16 to ask the Liquor Control Board of Review to revoke the liquor-by-the-drink license issued to Barcelona Banquet Hall. Barcelona Banquet Hall is located at 3053 Southwest Blvd.
This public hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. It will be held at the Robert J. Mohart Multipurpose FOCUS Center at 3200 Wayne Ave.
Ordinance violations that have been observed over the last 12 months by the Regulated Industries Division staff include minors on the premises, minors purchasing alcohol and lack of cooperation from management in working with division staff. Gary Majors, the division manager, has met with the manager of Barcelona Banquet Hall no fewer than eight times in the past 12 months to discuss these issues. The establishment's liquor license was suspended for two days in June and eight days in August.
