18th and Vine District residents to vote for signage design
Residents of the historic 18th and Vine Jazz District are encouraged to vote for one of seven designs created by Moody Nolan Inc., for new signage that will help identify the jazz district and its historical significance.
The designs will be on display Oct. 12-25 in the lobby of the Gregg Community Center, 1600 E. 17th Terrace, during business hours, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can vote via e-mail, standard mail, telephone or in person.
On Oct. 12, Mario Vasquez, project manager with the Capital Improvements Management Office, will be at the community center from 3-5 p.m. to answer questions about the project and the designs. The designs also will be shown on the City’s Channel 2 cable station at the same time.
