Skaggs elected vice president of Missouri Municipal League
Mayor Pro Tem Bill Skaggs, 1st District, has been elected vice president of the Missouri Municipal League, which is a nonpartisan, voluntary association that serves 652 municipalities across the state.
Skaggs said the opportunity will allow him to work on statewide concerns. āIām looking forward to working with my colleagues in the Missouri Municipal League on issues that impact all communities,ā he said.
As vice president, Skaggs also will be placed on the board of directors.
Skaggs has served on the City of Kansas City, Mo., City Council since 2003, and also is mayor pro tem and a member of the Planning and Zoning Committee. Previously, Skaggs served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1982 to 2002.
