Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund applications due Oct. 15
Applications submitted by Oct. 15 will be funded in fiscal year 2008-2009
Organizations interested in applying for reimbursable grants for the fiscal year 2008-2009 from the City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund must submit their applications by Oct. 15.
Eligible activities are cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational or recreational. Eligible organizations must meet these qualifications:
·Is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Missouri
·Has its registered office located within the City limits of Kansas City, Mo.
·Has neighborhood, community, tourism, promotion and development priorities as part of its mission
·Meets the City's requirements for contracting with non-municipal agencies
·Can thoroughly demonstrate that it meets the program's eligibility requirements.
Applications submitted by Oct. 15 will be funded in fiscal year 2008-2009. Applications are accepted year-round, however, the Oct. 15 deadline is critical because the majority of proposals that are recommended for funding are submitted by this deadline. The Neighborhood and Community Services Department manages the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund.
