3-1-1 Action Center extends its hours

The City of Kansas City, Mo., 3-1-1 Action Center (City Manager’s Office) is expanding its hours, and will be open on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept calls starting Sept. 9.

“Further extending 3-1-1 Action Center operation hours gives residents even greater access to their city government and minimizes the need for residents to leave voice messages or be routed to another extension,” said Earnest Rouse, director of the 3-1-1 Action Center. “No longer will residents need to wait for Monday to contact the 3-1-1 Action Center for matters that need to be brought to the City's attention on Sunday.”

In the past eight weeks, the 3-1-1 Action Center has added 11 employees to accommodate the increased hours of operation.

The 3-1-1 Action Center is staffed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

For more information on the 3-1-1 Action Center, contact Liz Gray, call center manager, 3-1-1 Action Center, (816) 513-1306.
