Tow Services Division extends hours for resident convenience

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Tow Services Division will extend its hours beginning Sept. 8 to include Saturday and Sunday hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"As we continue to focus on improving our service to the public, the Tow Services Division has expanded its hours to include weekends," said Mike Schumacher, manager of the Tow Services Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. “We hope that adding these service hours will make it more convenient for people to retrieve their cars.”

The tow lot, which is located at 6817 Stadium Drive, also will maintain its weekday hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Tow Services Division stores vehicles impounded by the Police Department, coordinates the towing of abandoned vehicles and conducts vehicle auctions. The division also recently assumed responsibility for salvage yard permits.
