Landlord tenant public hearings to be held at three city locations
Councilwoman Melba Curls, 3rd District at large, urges city residents to participate in a series of public hearings taking place over the next two weeks on a proposed landlord tenant ordinance. The hearings will be held at three locations, one in each the north, south and central areas of the city.
Previously, hearings were held at City Hall during Public Safety and Neighborhoods Committee meetings. Councilwoman Curls and Councilman John Sharp, 6th District, worked with City staff to determine how to best address issues concerning the landlord tenant ordinance.
Input from residents at these meetings will help determine the final regulations that will be implemented in a pilot program.
The onsite public hearings will be held at these locations:
North Kansas City
Aug. 23, 6:30 p.m., Golden Oaks Center, large conference room
3100 N.E. 46th St.
South Kansas City
Aug. 27, 7 p.m., Baptiste Educational Center, room 1
5401 E. 103rd St.
Central Kansas City
Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m., Mohart Center, auditorium
3200 Wayne Ave.
