Deadline to apply for youth commission extended
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Youth Advocacy Office (a division of the City Manager's Office) has extended the application deadline for the Kansas City Youth Commission to 5 p.m. on May 4. The original deadline was April 27.
The Youth Advocacy Office is accepting applications from Kansas City, Mo., youth between the ages of 12 and 23. The youth commission members will be chosen through a competitive process to advocate for the needs and wants of Kansas City's youth. The 17 young people who are selected will be the official youth voice in the City's decision-making process. They also will be called upon to encourage political involvement among their peers.
