Second round of auditions for Spotlight on KC talent show set

National talent scouts to judge contest

Another round of auditions for the Spotlight on KC talent show will be Thursday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the recital hall at Paseo High School, 4747 Flora Ave., Kansas City, Mo.

The auditions are open to area youth ages 12-18. Performers will be allowed two minutes to audition. Those selected for the talent show will be required to attend free entertainment workshops provided by the City of Kansas City, Mo.

Up to 15 acts will be selected for the Spotlight on KC talent show where they will compete for a professional demo package and cash prizes. The talent show will be Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Music Hall, 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, Mo.

The guest master of ceremonies for the talent show is JT Quick from Hot 103 Jamz. Performers will be judged by professional agents from Universal Music Production Company, and Def Jam Recordings in New York. The sponsors of the event are the City of Kansas City, Mo., MoveUp and Urban Motion.
